V-Ray Next released!
Fast and high-quality visualization
Chaos Group offers innovative rendering solutions for, among others, the entertainment and design environment. For more than a decade, V-Ray has been the leading software thanks to its speed, reliability, and ease in use, and it is the choice of many well-known international studios.
V-Ray Next is much more than just a rendering engine. It is designed to fit the workflow perfectly. Thanks to this, it is very simple to create photorealistic renderings. As the name promises, V-Ray Next brings your renderings to the next level.
V-Ray Next's vast new features enhance the workflow, resource management, materials, renderings, smart features, performance, and exceptional noise.
V-Ray visualization software is commonly seen as the standard in the field, in terms of high-quality renderings.
V-Ray is available as an add-on for several modeling software. The V-Ray rendering add-on integrates into the user interface of the host software, so you can work in the user interface that is already familiar to you. A flexible modeling software combined with the versatile, fast, and high-quality V-Ray rendering engine is a perfect combination!
The V-Ray rendering add-ons are perfectly integrated into the user interface of the host software. That means that all work is done in the user interface the user is already familiar with - without any data transfer from one software to another.
Your favorite modeling software, combined with the rendering power of V-Ray is the perfect combination of speed and quality.
Working with V-Ray is very quick. All rendering settings are collected in one window where all settings are easily accessible. V-Ray contains V-Ray RT, a fast and continuously developing preview window. Changes to the viewing point, the illumination, or the materials are updated to the rendered preview window instantly. V-Ray RT makes it also possible to utilize the computation capacity of the graphic card. That makes the preview window update even quicker.
Because V-Ray contains a web-rendering capability, multiple computers can calculate the final rendering together. That speeds up the rendering of especially animations and high-resolution images significantly.
With V-Ray, it is very easy to create realistic illuminations using V-Ray Dome Light. It makes it possible to illuminate models with the help of HDR images. V-Ray supports artificial lights such as naturally illuminated surfaces, illuminated materials, and light sources that are based on IES files.
It is possible to create credible rendering materials with V-Ray's material editor. It is straightforward to create basic materials, and thanks to the versatile material settings, the simulation of even complex materials are amazingly detailed.
V-Ray requires a physical protection module that is plugged into a USB port of your computer. The physical protection module protects your V-Ray license against malfunctions and problems that may occur due to, for example, updating your computer or operating system. The USB protection module is also easy to relocate from one computer to another.
With the license server software installed together with V-Ray, you can float licenses online. The USB protection module and the lite license server software - which can also be run as a service - can be installed on the server so that the license can be used on any computer in a local network. You can also share the license outside the local network through port control and firewall settings.
